Single Thumb Up! It’s A One-Handed Thing – OHS078

“You have a little thumbs up all the time!” Kids say the funniest things. Last month at the Hyde Park Street Fair here in Boise, Idaho I ran into some old friends and their kids. Their little boy of about three years of age was staring at my one-handedness. He finally asked why I had one hand. At this point he started to walk toward me and wanted to get a closer look. I love it when children are so open and curious they just come up to me and grab my arm for a closer look.

While the parents (my good friends) were asking the boy if he remembers me from the coffee shop, we could all see him looking and touching my arm with a very “deep thinking” look on his face. What he said about my “little hand” had us all laughing. Our laughter ended with the realization that the boy’s statement was not just funny, it was deep. This podcast is about the funny thing that kid said.
