How To Date A One-Handed Guy

These two girls wanted advice on dating a one-handed guy! I am a good person to ask if you are needing or wanting that information. Though I was approached by two girls only one of them wanted to know one-handed things. The other was her friend and spent most of the conversation listening and smiling with excitement. We were all at the Oregon Country Fair to have a good time and experience great things. This conversation was about to make the top of the “great things” list.

I have attended the Oregon Country Fair for 23 years. It has been an important event in my life. I have had many great experiences and have made many life long friends attending this three day extravaganza over the years. It is also a festival where people are quite transparent, open, and sincere. Especially children. I must say some of the greatest interactions I have ever had as a one handed person have happened at the Oregon Country Fair. Because of this I have actually looked forward to it in a very one handed way with great joy and anticipation. Not to mention all the great food, music, crafts, and really cool people.

Slice of life moments at the Oregon Country Fair.

Often you see the strangest things at “The Fair.” Four years in a row I saw my one-handed opposite (listen to podcast episode OHS) and then never saw him ever again. One year I was a speaker at the Youth Stage. Therefore, I get to camp on the “inside” and go to all the after hour events. The band playing the Friday night show was a Pink Floyd cover band called “Floydian Slips.” (See a video here) I saw Pink Floyd live a long time ago and I think the Friday night concert at “The Fair” was a better performed concert. One year I got to meet one of my musical heroes, Jimi Hendrix. Well, it was actually a really good professional impersonator and we had a very cool time hanging out together. So many interactions are beyond cool at the Oregon Country Fair. Meeting these two young girls who wanted advice on dating a guy with one hand does make my personal top 10 list of “Great Fair Moments.”

Oregon Country Fair, The Peach Pit, Jimi Hendrix, Rare Moments

A dream come true for me to meet this Jimi Hendrix impersonator at the Oregon Country Fair. My heart stopped when I saw him and he know I was a big fan.

One day at the Oregon Country Fair I was approached by two young teenaged girls. I was just hangin’ out after a musical show looking at the schedule to see what I wanted to do next. I noticed to young girls looking and smiling at me. I smiled back and kept reading the the Oregon Country Fair’s program newsletter call “The Peach Pit.” When I noticed the two of them looking at me again I gave them a really kind and deep smile. The next thing I know these two young girls were right in front of me asking if they could ask me a question. I was slightly stunned by what they wanted to know about my one handed life.
