“How Do You Do Things With Only One Hand?” – OHS086

I spend a lot of time interacting with children of all ages. Mostly they are the ones who initiate the conversation with their bold and inquisitive questions. At the same time, I am a pretty open and talkative person. Put these two things together and some really fun and meaningful conversations can arise. After living a lifetime with one hand I have noticed patterns in the questions kids ask me about my one-handed life. One question that comes up a lot with kids is, “How do you do things with only one hand?”

I really love this question because it tells me a lot about the little person who is asking. It tells me they are open-minded, curious, and taking my one-handedness into consideration with some deep thought. But also because of the cool and funny things they ask if I can do with “only one hand.” This podcast is really about the things kids ask about my one-handed life.

Thanks for listening! I invite you to share this podcast, offer a comment, or leave some feedback.
